Our masjid
Built by this community and completed in Ramadan 2015, on Normal Road a few minutes’ walk from the NIU campus. Separate prayer space for women, parking on site, and children welcome.

Learning at the masjid
Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic studies for the community’s children, run jointly with the IQRA Dawah Center. All boys’ Sunday School classes are held here at ICD; girls’ and kindergarten classes at IQRA, 401 Normal Rd.
Islamic Sunday School
Held at ICD Masjid
The curriculum will include Quran (Qaidah, Reading, and Memorization), Arabic, and Islamic Studies (covering Aqeedah, Akhlaq, Seerah, History, and Fiqh) for different age groups. Kindergarten and all girls’ classes (elementary to high school) will be held at Iqra Dawah Center, 401 Normal Rd. All boys’ classes (elementary to high school) will be held at the Islamic Center of DeKalb Masjid, 801 Normal Rd.
FREE DeKalb Weekend Iftars

Support ICD Masjid
The masjid is kept open by the people who pray in it. Utilities, upkeep, the children’s classes and the Ramadan meals are all met by the community. Give what you can — it is a sadaqah jariyah that keeps giving for as long as the masjid stands.
